Clash of the Titans

As my friends and I began to watch the movie, after being escorted to the theater by a two toothed Guatemalan security guard and finding the only available seats were in the third row, I knew what kind of movie "Clash of the Titans" was going to be. It was going to be a mind numbing action movie, and that was just what I needed. "Clash of the Titans" is based on the Greek myth of Perseus. Perseus's' mission is to get revenge on the Gods for killing his foster family. Perseus has to defeat many different monsters in his quest for revenge including Medusa and the Three Witches. Throughout the movie he also has a hard time of coming to terms with who he is. If you are looking for the perfect guy movie with plenty of action "Clash of the Titans" is the movie for you.

How to Train Your Dragon

"How to Train Your Dragon" is about a young incompetent viking named Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III who lives in a viking village infested with dragons. Every single viking can successfully slay a dragon. All except for Hiccup that is, he cannot physically or emotionally kill a dragon. This all changes when Hiccup catches a dragon one night. When he goes to investigate he finds a wounded dragon there for the taking. When Hiccup tries to kill the dragon he finds that he just can't do it. After this the unlikely duo quickly bonded. In this movie we are brought through many instances of action and comedy that is fun for all ages. Even though this movie is centered around killing dragons there is no actual violence so it's okay for the kiddies to tag along.

Special thanks to my Mom for the tickets and snackage.

Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland is a movie about a world of imagination which is actually a sequel to the original. This time it is called into question whether or not this Alice is “the right Alice.” This Alice does not have any recollection of a first journey, but she has had dreams of this strange and brilliant land. Though the movie is rated pg a pg-13 rating would be more appropriate because of many severed heads and an eyeball being pulled from its socket. These things are done without blood, but in my opinion are inappropriate for young children. The Mad Hatter is difficult to understand in the beginning because of his accent changing from British with a lisp to an angry Irishman, but you get used to it. The truly psychotic cast is nothing short of brilliant with Alan Rickman as the opium smoking worm, Anne Hathaway as the white queen, Helena Bonham Carter as the red queen, and last but certainly not least Johnny Depp. We can thank Tim Burton as director for the insane twists in the movie. Overall, I suggest you go and see this movie, tell me what you think.

Tim Burton's 9

9 takes place in a desolate waste land after a war waged between humans and robots. The robots defeated the humans then went to a warehouse "to die". The only survivors are a creature called The Beast and 9 creatures made out of cloth and machinery. A scientist that's name is never learned transports his life force into the nine creatures. Each of the creatures has some part of the scientists personality. The antagonist is a very large robot that is out of control and capable of thought. The main protagonist is the ninth creature to be created by the scientist, his name is 9. 9 is a very curios character he can also be adventurous and inventive at times. . 1 is the self proclaimed leader of the 9 creatures, 1 is very controlling and believes the only way to avoid death is to hide.. 2 is the most inventive of all the creatures, he can invent something out of almost anything. 3 and 4 are the smart twins that don't talk, their job is to study and gain knowledge about everything they come in contact with. 3 and 4 are not under the leadership of 1. 5 is very timid, but he goes out on a journey with 9. 5 and 2 are also very good friends. 6 acts like he is crazy but it seems that he has a better understanding of what is going on than any of the other creatures. 7 acts very much like a freedom fighter and is the only women. She also isn't under the leadership of 1. 8 is the stereotypical dumb but strong henchmen of 1. He gets some enjoyment out of pushing the other creatures around. The story 9 documents the quest of the creatures to destroy the thinking robot and all the monsters it creates.
9 is rated pg-13 for animated violence and scary images. I don't recommend this movie for little kids. I give the movie a 7 out of 10. I think that you should go see it, tell me what you think in the comments section.
